Suryakumar Yadav made quite an impression on Thursday, February 26, during the crucial Super 8 match against Zimbabwe in the 2026 T20 World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He really took the Zimbabwean bowlers to task, scoring a rapid 33 runs off just 13 balls.
In that explosive innings, Suryakumar smashed three fours and two sixes. But the highlight was definitely the shot he played on the second ball of the 13th over. Tinotenda Maposa delivered a slower ball, and Suryakumar read it perfectly. He danced down the pitch and sent it soaring over mid-off for a spectacular six.
India set a massive target of 256/4 in their 20 overs, with Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya both notching up half-centuries. Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, and Tilak Varma also chipped in with valuable runs, helping India achieve the second-highest total in T20 World Cup history.
