Patna. Bihar government has taken a major step to strengthen the road network of the state. Four important road projects have been approved in the cabinet meeting. Thousands of crores of rupees will be spent on these projects, which are expected to give a new impetus to the connectivity and development of many districts.


The government believes that better roads will not only make travel easier, but will also strengthen trade, employment and the local economy.


1. Darbhanga-Jale road will be expanded significantly.


About Rs 990 crore has been sanctioned for widening and strengthening of Darbhanga-Jale road. After the completion of this project, the traffic system in Darbhanga and surrounding areas will be better. The widening of this route will provide relief to the people traveling daily and the problem of traffic jam will also reduce.


2.SH-97 road project approved


The state government has also approved the construction of about 47.8 km stretch of State Highway (SH-97). This road will play an important role in connecting many rural and urban areas. With the construction of the new road, the local people will get better connectivity and the traffic will be faster and safe.


3. There will be big investment on Supaul-Araria road


The government has sanctioned about Rs 703 crore for the road project connecting Supaul and Araria. This area falls in the Seemanchal region, where the need to strengthen the road network was felt for a long time. The construction of this road will ease the movement of agricultural products and will also boost business activities.


4. Development work in Buxar and Samastipur also


The cabinet has also approved about Rs 982 crore for road projects in Buxar and Samastipur districts. Road improvements in these areas will benefit both rural and urban areas. Building better roads will make access to education, health and business activities easier.
