Intoxication of success and considering oneself a god

Honey Singh told that when he was at the peak of his career, the huge money and success he got at a young age had completely changed his way of thinking. He said, “I lost control over myself. I started insulting people and I started feeling that I had achieved all this alone. I even started thinking of myself as God.” Amidst this pride, he started drowning in the quagmire of drugs, which completely ruined his mental health.

I myself was responsible, not the industry.

Often people blame the glamor world or fame for such wastage, but Honey Singh made it clear that he himself was responsible for it. He told that big giants of the industry had tried to handle him. People like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are very simple and straightforward. Whenever he saw me going on the wrong path, he used to stop me. Especially Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar had warned me many times. Shahrukh Bhai had clearly said that all this will completely ruin and destroy you.

Illness took away stardom, used to pray for death

After falling ill in 2015, Honey Singh remained isolated from the world and confined to a room for almost three years. This period was so dreadful that due to the disease even the hair on his head fell out and he used to pray for his death all the time. He made a comeback in 2018, but that old magical stardom is now history. This story of Honey Singh shows that managing success is more difficult than achieving it.
