Ayodhya. The investigation into the Ram Mandir Donation Theft Case is progressing. Anyway, new revelations happening every day are in the media headlines. The accused Avinash Shukla, arrested in the offering theft case, is a resident of Nariawa Babupur village of Maheshganj police station area of Pratapgarh district. If sources are to be believed, Avinash had gone to Ayodhya in 2025. His elder brother Abhishek is a primary school teacher in Ayodhya since 2021. Avinash lived near him.
In the Ram Mandir Donation Theft Case, the police is continuously raiding the places of the accused. So far, recovery of up to Rs 80 lakh has been claimed in the case. The investigating SIT has recovered a trunk from the room of accused Avinash Shukla on which ‘Ramrajya Kosh’ is written and the QR code of Paytm is also attached on it. Its video is going viral on social media.
After this incident, the family members of Avinash Shukla said that God will reward him for his deeds. Avinash has a total of five sons from his father Ram Sajeevan Shukla and Mithilesh. Three stay at home and do farming and one of them also runs a dispensary. For farming, he has about 14 bighas of land and does farming with a tractor. Abhishek, number four, lives there after his brother got a job in Ayodhya in 2021. Both of them are not married yet.
The father told that Abhishek sends money for household expenses which is used for farming and whenever Avinash used to come, he used to give two-four thousand. Ram Sajeevan has an old and dilapidated kutcha house in which he lives with his wife. There is a house near the house equipped with modern facilities which is newly constructed. Three sons and daughters-in-law live there.
Let us tell you that the police investigation has intensified. After the FIR was registered, all eight accused have been sent to jail. The main accused Avinash Shukla is a resident of Pratapgarh, who lived with his brother Abhishek in a reputed yoga center in Kaushalpuri. After the theft case was registered on June 5, the police raided this yoga center and recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash.
Meanwhile, within 12 hours of a mysterious box being recovered from the yoga centre, the yoga practitioners threw the two brothers out of the center and locked the room. According to Yogacharya Seema Tiwari, Abhishek was living there for the last 10 years and had later brought his brother Avinash, whose actions were suspicious. Local people and seekers are demanding strict punishment for the accused. The whole matter came to light when irregularities were found in the counting of offerings during CCTV footage and investigation. On the complaint of the Temple Trust, the police showed promptness and arrested the accused security personnel and his associates. The police have recovered the stolen valuables and cash from them. After this incident, the security and audit system of Ram Janmabhoomi complex has been further tightened.
