Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold its three-day Prant Pracharak meeting from July 10 to 12 in Belagavi, Karnataka. This information has come to light quoting sources. This will happen when recently Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge has been continuously demanding the association to provide its registration documents.
Top leaders of RSS and senior officials from across the country will participate in this annual organizational meeting. These include RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, all the province pracharaks and organizational secretaries of different associate organizations.
According to sources, in this meeting the organizational activities of the Sangh last year will be reviewed and the programs and expansion plans to be held in the coming months will be finalized.
The meeting is expected to discuss strengthening organizational coordination, reviewing the implementation of ongoing activities, expanding outreach programs and setting priorities for the RSS and its affiliates.
Senior officials from different states will present reports on organizational development in their respective areas and discuss strategies to strengthen the grassroots network of the Sangh.
The Prant Pracharak meeting is considered one of the important internal organizational meetings of the RSS. It is a platform for senior officials to assess progress, share feedback from across the country and prepare a roadmap for the organization’s nationwide activities.
This meeting will end on July 12 after three days of discussion.
Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge wrote to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in June asking the organization to formally register itself and publicly disclose information about its legal status, funding, finances, office-bearers, assets and tax compliance. Kharge argued that a large and influential organization like the RSS should operate with greater transparency and accountability under the law.
Priyank Kharge said that the Home Department gives security to the programs of the Sangh and its leaders, which gives the government the right to demand information about the organization. He said that I want to know to whom I am giving security.
He rejected BJP’s allegations that he was trying to ban the Sangh. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said there was nothing to hide and termed the demand as politically motivated.
