Vikrant Massey Takes on a New Role in 'Musafir Cafe'

Renowned for his on-screen performances, actor Vikrant Massey is now stepping behind the camera as a producer. His production company, Homemade Stories, has collaborated on the Netflix drama 'Musafir Cafe,' which is set to premiere on July 24. This marks Massey's debut as a credited producer, with Netflix announcing the release date along with a teaser trailer on Wednesday.

The eight-episode series is a joint production between Terribly Tiny Tales and Homemade Stories, featuring Anuj Gosalia and Vijay Subramaniam as producers. The executive production team includes Sharanya Rajgopal, Vineet Batra, and Pracchi Batnagar, with Rajgopal also serving as the creator and writer. The series is directed by Ruchir Arun.

Based on Divya Prakash Dubey's novel of the same name, the narrative unfolds in Bhopal and Mussoorie, following the intertwined lives of three strangers. Massey portrays Chander Mohan Sharma, a character still figuring out what his own life should entail. Vedika Pinto plays Sudha, a woman determined to shape her own destiny, while Mahima Makwana's character, Preeti, remains unflappable despite the chaos around her.

As their stories intersect, the series explores the theme of unexpected connections and the profound impact of those who enter our lives without warning.

The cast also features Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra, and Sadia Siddiqui.

In addition to 'Musafir Cafe,' Massey is involved in Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming web series 'Pritam & Pedro,' which includes a talented ensemble featuring Arshad Warsi, Vir Hirani, Mona Singh, and Boman Irani.
