Costume designer One lakh has opened up about her memorable experience of working on Dunkcalling it one of the most special milestones of her career. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungamathe acclaimed designer reflected on collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Raj Kumar Hiranidescribing the journey as unforgettable.

Sharing why Dunki held a special place in her heart, Eka said, “It was my first film with Mr Shah Rukh Khan and my second film with Raju sir after Sanju (2018).” She admitted that working with the Bollywood superstar was something she had never imagined when she first entered the industry.

Expressing her excitement, she added, “I was so excited because when I started working, I never imagined that there would come a time when I would design costumes for Shah Rukh Khan. Saying this even now gives me goosebumps (laughs). It’s Shah Rukh Khan; it can’t get bigger than that!”

Lakhani also praised Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication and professionalism, revealing that working alongside him was a learning experience. “It was a beautiful journey. He’s such a lovely human being and such a fine actor. He is so deeply involved with every minor detail of the character. There’s so much to learn from him, both as an artiste and as a human being,” she shared.

The designer’s comments have once again highlighted Shah Rukh Khan’s reputation for his commitment to every aspect of filmmaking, something that has often been acknowledged by his co-stars and crew members.

According to IMDb, Eka Lakhani is also associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated upcoming film King. However, she chose not to comment on the project during the interview. Instead, she confirmed her next assignment, saying, “I am starting Mani Ratnam sir’s next film. The film will go on next month. It stars Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi. I am really excited about that film.”

With major projects lined up and collaborations with some of Indian cinema’s biggest names, Eka Lakhani continues to establish herself as one of the industry’s most sought-after costume designers.
