Amidst the chaos and long wait regarding the results of NEET-UG, a big news has come out for the medical students. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the NEET-PG 2026 exam dates. According to the information released by the board, this time this PG entrance examination will be conducted on August 30, 2026 at different examination centers across the country.


Earlier it was believed in social media and diplomatic circles that due to controversies there might be a slight delay in this examination, but now the complete schedule has been released putting an end to all the speculations. Like every time, this examination will be conducted completely in computer-based mode (CBT) i.e. online.


Note these important dates


If you are also preparing to appear in this examination, then note down the complete time table carefully. The online application process has started from 5 pm on July 1, 2026, which will continue till 11:55 pm on July 21, 2026. After this, information about the city of examination will be given to the candidates on August 11, 2026. The results of the examination will be announced exactly one month after the end of the examination, i.e. on September 30, 2026.


Candidates should not make the mistake of filling the form in haste.


In the official notification issued by NBEMS, candidates are strictly advised to read the entire PDF guideline carefully before applying. This time the board has made many big and stringent changes to maintain the sanctity of the examination. Mainly the rules to allotment of exam cities and verification of candidates have been completely changed.


This time the allotment of examination center or city will not be done on the basis of ‘first come, first served’. During registration, candidates will be required to give options of at least three different cities of their choice. This simply means that the candidates who fill the form in a hurry are not going to get any additional benefit this time.


Strict rules for photo uploading and final submission


Moreover, to avoid form rejection, candidates must upload their latest and recently taken photograph. Keep in mind that the photo should not be more than three months old. If any candidate’s photo is found blurred or any kind of editing or filter is used in it, his/her form will be immediately rejected. This time the rules have been made very strict to avoid any kind of fraud and fraud. Along with this, this time no opportunity for any correction or change (correction window) will be given in the form after pressing the final submission button. Therefore, fill all your information very thoughtfully and after double-checking.


New rule of biometrics and identification


This time, to ensure complete transparency in the NEET PG exam, the rules to Aadhar card are being made mandatory. Intensive biometric verification of all the candidates will be done at the exam center on the day of the exam. The Board has already warned the candidates to completely avoid applying henna, ink, color or paint on their hands on the day of the examination, so that there is no technical problem in taking fingerprints on the biometric machine and their precious time can be avoided.
