Pune: There has been a new twist in the murder of Pune real estate businessman Ketan Aggarwal. Investigation revealed that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary had done rehearsals with complete planning before pushing Ketan from Lohgarh Fort.

Practice took place on the hill of Market Yard   

According to Pune Rural Police, before pushing Ketan off the cliff of Lohgarh Fort on June 18, the two accused had rehearsed the incident on a hill near the market yard.

The police officer said, ‘Siya and Chetan have confessed during interrogation to practicing on the hill. We will identify that place and conduct Panchnama. The accused also told how they had rehearsed before committing the crime.

Chetan in police custody till 3rd July   

Police have also seized the scooter of Chetan Chaudhary, by which he had reached Lohgarh Fort on the day of the murder. The officer said that the entire incident will be recreated in Lohgarh Fort in the presence of Chetan. ‘We have his custody till July 3. Accordingly, we will decide the schedule to repeat the incident again’, the police informed.

‘Gate analysis’ will be done for CCTV footage  

Police is now preparing to get ‘gate analysis’ done on Chetan Chaudhary. Actually, in the CCTV footage, a person resembling Chetan was seen walking inside the Lohgarh Fort.

The officer said, ‘In gait analysis, the way a person walks is detected so that his identity can be confirmed. We had given information about this proposed analysis while seeking police custody in the court. Work is going on on this.

Police believe that rehearsal and gate analysis will strengthen the case. After the confession of Siya and Chetan, the direction of the investigation has become clear. Now the police is collecting evidence from every angle so that the charge sheet is strong in the court.
