The U.K. was the leading source market for Spain, with 2.2 million visitors, followed by France and Germany, according to data published by Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE).
The Balearic Islands were the leading destination for tourists in July, accounting for 22.3% of the total, followed by Catalonia (20.6%) and Andalusia (14.6%).
Visitor spending in July rose 10.9% year on year to €18.22 billion (US$21.3 billion), according to Spanish news site Democrat.
British tourists topped the ranking in terms of spending, at €3.038 billion, accounting for 16.7% of the total.
Germany ranked second, with spending of €1.751 billion, an increase of 11.5%, while French tourists spent €1.644 billion, up 12.6%.

The most common length of stay in July was between four and seven nights.
In the first seven months of this year, Spain received 58.1 million international tourists, an increase of 4.6% from the same period last year.
The country expects to welcome 100 million tourists this year after receiving a record 97 million visitors in 2025.
