Gold prices in the country have risen further on September 5. Rates for both 24-carat and 22-carat gold have increased in cities ranging from Delhi to Chennai. In the capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,56,820 per 10 grams during the morning session. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had increased by ₹1,400. In the international market, spot gold stands at $4,465.34 per ounce.

Gold price in Delhi: The price of 24-carat gold in Delhi is ₹1,56,820 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold is ₹1,42,560 per 10 grams.



Mumbai and Kolkata: In Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹1,43,610 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,56,670 per 10 grams.



Gold price in Chennai: The price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,56,670 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold is ₹1,43,610 per 10 grams.



Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: In both these cities, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,56,670 per 10 grams, and the price of 22-carat gold is ₹1,43,610 per 10 grams.

Goldman Sachs has projected that gold prices will reach $4,900 per ounce by the end of this year. It notes that central banks across various countries are purchasing approximately 50 tonnes of gold per month in 2026.



Silver Price



In contrast to gold, the price of silver—another precious metal—has declined. On the morning of September 5, the price of silver slipped to ₹2,49,900 per kilogram. In the international market, the price of spot silver stands at $66.72 per ounce. In January of this year, the domestic price of silver had reached a record high of ₹4 lakh per kilogram. Since then, it has fallen by more than 40 percent. Domestic prices of gold and silver are influenced by both domestic and global factors.
