Fortnitemares 2026 has brought another horror icon to the island in the form of Freddy Krueger. The dream-stalking villain from "A Nightmare on Elm Street," is now a playable skin in Fortnite after first appearing as one of the event's Fortnitemares Bosses.

Players can now defeat him in-game for loot, or simply buy his look outright from the Item Shop. Here's everything to know about getting the skin, its price, and what comes bundled with it.

Everthing you need to know about Fortnite Freddy Krueger skin

The Freddy Krueger skin arrived in Fortnite on October 2, 2026. While the Five Nights at Freddy's skins have arguably been the bigger marketing push for this year's Halloween event, Freddy Krueger has proven to be the more popular pickup among players.

Getting the skin is straightforward since it's a direct Item Shop purchase rather than something tied to challenges or a Battle Pass. Here's how to grab it:

• Open Fortnite and head to the Item Shop tab.

• Look for the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" section.

• Select either the full Nightmare on Elm Street Bundle (2,300 V-Bucks) or just the individual Freddy Krueger skin (1,600 V-Bucks).

• Press and hold the Purchase button to confirm the transaction.

• All purchased items will then appear in your Fortnite locker.

Nightmare on Elm Street Bundle in FortniteFreddy Krueger comes as part of a themed cosmetic bundle, and buying individual pieces together works out cheaper than purchasing everything separately. Here's the complete pricing:

Buying the skin and Pickaxe together at 1,600 V-Bucks offers a modest discount over purchasing them individually, while the full 2,300 V-Bucks bundle covers every item in the collection at once.

How long is Freddy Krueger in Fortnite Item Shop It's AvailableUnlike some Fortnite collabs that rotate out quickly, the Freddy Krueger skin isn't expected to disappear from the shop anytime soon. It will remain purchasable until at least October 16, 2026, at 8 PM ET, when Fortnitemares 2026 officially wraps up. That gives players plenty of time to decide whether the skin is worth adding to their locker before the event ends.

With Freddy Krueger now fully playable and purchasable through October 16, horror fans have a straightforward way to bring the Elm Street slasher into their matches. Whether it's worth 1,600 V-Bucks for the skin alone or 2,300 for the full themed set comes down to how much the matching Pickaxe, Emote, and Kicks appeal on top of the character itself.
