Jind : Unidentified men allegedly pelted stones at the house of a civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate first class (JMIC) in Jind‘s Sector 8 , damaged his car’s windows and stole a vehicle, police said after registering an FIR.




The incident occurred around 3:30 am on Sunday.




Satish Kaushik , father of judicial officer Yogesh Kaushik , said CCTV footage showed that the suspects allegedly circled the street three times before vandalising the house and carrying out the theft of an SUV that belonged to a relative.




“Only our house was targeted. This is a serious matter requiring an investigation,” he said, urging police administration to increase patrolling in the area .




An FIR has been registered at the Civil Lines police station . Police are investigating the identities of the suspects and the motive, said Jind SP Kuldeep Singh . .
