A new law has been made in America in the name of Pathankot resident Thakur Mahajan, who was the victim of an accident in New York's Central Park. This law known as Rider Law will now be called Thrill Law. With this, the journey of traditional horse-drawn carriages, which have been the center of tourist attraction for decades on the streets of New York, is about to end.

Tezzbuzz Desk- The thrill law bill passed with a majority vote in the New York City Council. 40 out of 49 votes were cast in its favour, while 7 members opposed and 2 abstained. According to Deepak Mahajan, Thrill's father, the bill was sponsored by Council Member Christopher Marte. It was approved after the consent of Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Speaker Julie Menin. Silence was also observed in memory of the thrill before the law was passed late Thursday night.

18 year old Thrall had gone to visit America with his family. The horse of the carriage in which he was sitting in Central Park suddenly got upset and started running away with the carriage. During this his mother Priya fell down. Thrill also jumped in to save them. Priya suffered minor injuries in the accident, while Thrall died due to serious head injury.

After this incident, many organizations and leaders in New York raised the demand to name Rider Law after the thrill. According to surveys, 70 percent of New York citizens are in favor of closing the horse-buggy industry. The horses have to work on concrete roads in extreme heat and cold, causing serious health problems. Risks to accidents and pollution have also been raising questions on this industry.

Thrill has received another honor posthumously. Animal rights organization PETA has decided to dedicate a special leaf in his memory at the 'Tree of Life' memorial at its headquarters. According to available information, Thrall is the first Indian to receive this honour.
