Singer Shilpa Rao's much-anticipated performance at the 10th anniversary edition of the Bollywood Music Project (BMP) in Mumbai on October 24 was cut short due to unexpected production delays, leaving numerous fans disheartened.

The abrupt halt led to widespread disappointment among attendees who had gathered to witness the popular artist.

Following the incident, Shilpa Rao took to Instagram to share her profound disappointment, while also expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of her audience. She highlighted how fans continued to chant her name even after the music ceased, a gesture that deeply touched her. “Mumbai, a little piece of my heart broke tonight. It hurts deeply to have something so beautiful taken away from us like this,” she wrote, conveying her raw emotions.

She further thanked the audience for their solidarity, stating, “But even when the music stopped, you did not. The way you kept calling my name, the love in your voices. I could feel it all. Our story tonight was left unfinished. I promise, I will come back. I love you, Mumbai. Forever and ever. Shilpa.” This heartfelt message resonated with her followers, who echoed her sentiments about the untimely end to the concert. Shilpa Rao, known for hit songs like 'Bulleya', 'Ghungroo', and 'Chaleya', and a National Film Award winner, assured her Mumbai fans of a return.
